An auspious birthday

The event occurred in the last few hours of my birthday (31/01/2018). I chased the Super, Full, Blue, Blood lunar eclipse (Till 2:30am!). I would have taken it as a bad omen if it had been overcast. It was perfectly clear, still and not a cloud but freezing (3 degrees actually). It was a wonderful way to end a pleasant day, under the stillest, quietest and clearest skies I think i’ve ever seen!

During lunar totality the sky to the south was the clearest and darkest I’ve seen it. The slightest of Auroral glows was also visible to the eye that night.
